Terlan and Surroundings
Experience the Diversity of South Tyrol
Spring, summer, fall, or winter – South Tyrol is worth a visit at any time of the year!
The central location of Terlan, at the heart of the country, allows a varied program for both guests interested in sport, culture or culinary delights.
The spring transforms the entire valley into a sea of blossons, which you can enjoy by bike, during walks on one of the many Terlano wine-paths, or on an asparagus walking tour. Dedicated out bikeways will direct you through the magical fruit- and vineyards of the Adige Valley.
Thanks to the Mediterranean climate, the summer starts quite early in the Adige Valley. You can undertake various mountain-walks and hikes, such as the ones on the nearby Tschögglberg or throughout the dreamlike Dolomites. Discover wonderful hikes, stop for a bite to eat at one of the traditional South Tyrolean restaurants (called “Buschenschänke”) and relish a nice glass of wine next to other South Tyrolean specialties.
For those guests, who are keen on sports, Terlan offers four tennis courts and a large outdoor swimming pool.
During the autunn we harvest our apples with great diligence and we will squeeze delicious apple juice at the Rosengartnerhof. The grapes will be picked and transported to the Terlan Vinery to be processed.
The winter also has its charm; Christkindlmärkte (Christmas markets) in Bolzano (10km) and Meran (20km) ring in the Advent season. For winter sports enthusiasts, there are several ski resorts nearby, all of which can be reached very quickly (Meran 2000 in 25 minutes, Obereggen and Reinswald in 35 minutes) by car.
